Any experiment with vinegar and baking soda is always a super hit among kids. This time we used it in our Halloween craft. We created a quick bubbling cauldron, and we enjoyed it too.
Items Required:
- Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Small pot(Resembling cauldron)
- Food colour (preferably orange)
- Thick Plate
Procedure/Steps:
Place the mini pot on the plate. Put some orange colour food colouring and top it with two or three spoons of baking soda. Let the colour hide inside the baking soda. So it will be a surprise, when the kids pour vinegar in it.
Pour some vinegar in the pot. Use can use the dropper for some slow reaction.
Now the colour starts to appear with bubbles.
When you add more solution to the pot the liquid begins to over flow.
After that my kid added some more baking soda too.
And the out come was enjoyable. My kiddo had a great fun doing it.
Important Note:
- Any food colour can be used. Orange was used to keep up the Halloween spirit.
- Plate or tray below the pot is a must.
- Pouring vinegar with dropper is true fun to see the bubbles.
- You can add some more baking soda at later stage too.
Do try it with your kids for this Halloween. Happy Learning 🙂
